Jamie Vann Struth

Jamie Vann Struth is a professional economist working primarily in local and regional economic development, economic impact analysis, municipal financial analysis, and the creation of spreadsheet-based analytical tools (both for his own projects and for clients).

He has worked in communities and regions throughout British Columbia, evaluating and benchmarking economic performance, labour force characteristics, demographics, and industry sectors. He has been the lead consultant in the preparation of many economic development strategies, business retention and expansion strategies, investment attraction targeting analyses, growth and development analyses, and community and regional economic profiles and economic indicator reports. His work starts with a solid base of research and technical analysis, followed by clearly-written reports and strategies that build on the established facts.

He has conducted workshops on economic impact analysis and economic development performance monitoring for groups like the Pacific Northwest Economic Development Course (held at Eastern Washington University in Ellensburg, WA) and the Western Canada Economic Development Course in BC.
